FIDIC is the International Federation of Consulting Engineers. Its members are national associations of consulting engineers.

Fidic Africa

FIDIC Africa represents the interests of the consulting engineering industry in the African region, and supports FIDIC activities at both national and regional level.

PSFU

Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is Uganda’s apex body for the private sector. It is made up of over 200 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth.

The Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) was established as an association of Professional Engineers of Uganda in 1972, as a successor to the defunct East Africa Institution of Engineers (EAIE), which had started in 1945.

CoST Uganda

CoST is a multi-stakeholder initiative with participating countries spanning four continents. CoST promotes transparency by disclosing data from public infrastructure investment, helping to inform and empower citizens, enabling them to hold decision-makers to account.

This is a corporate body established by the Building Control Act, 2013.  Politically, it reports to and is guided by the Minister of Works and Transport. And its mandate is derived from the core functions as set out in the Building Control Act, 2013

Association of Consulting Engineers Tanzania

Association of Consulting Engineers Tanzania (ACET) Formed in 1985, ACET is an association made up of consulting engineers who operate in Tanzania. ACET actively promotes the interests of its members, and acts a conduit for the dissemination.

Engineers Registration Board

The Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is established under the Engineers Registration Act (ERA) Cap 271, as a statutory body with a mission to regulate and control engineers and their profession within Uganda.

Uganda National Association of Builders, Civil Engineers and Contractors

Uganda National Association of Builders, Civil Engineers and Contractors association was re-established in 1993 and with its Secretariat in Kampala. Membership is drawn from both the private and public sector
